THE SOAP NOOK
When you purchase Natural Nook Farm Goat Milk Soap, you can be sure your soap will have ALL NATURAL GOAT MILK in it! We milk two times a day and use our own milk in our soaps. Our goats are well kept, in clean pens and pasture area. We will use medicine prescribed by our vet if needed to save the life of a goat, but do not use the milk until the milk withdrawal time has passed. We do not use powdered milk, canned or store bought goat milk which has been pasteurized, canned, cooked and made non nutritional from all the processing. Natural colorants and exfoliants let us be creative in making our different bars of soap, along with essential oils. Goat milk soap is very good for your skin, here are just a few benefits of using it!
♦Most name brand soaps sold at the store are full of detergents, chemicals, and alcohol. Even "natural" soaps use creative labeling and still contain undesirable ingredients. All of these can be very drying and harsh to our skin.
♦Goat milk has a PH very close to our own skin. It’s said to be moisturizing and great for those with sensitive skin. (We make a plain bar with no essential or fragrance oils also!) Alpha-Hydroxy acids found in goat milk are believed to have a rejuvenating effect on our skin. It is chocked full of emollients and vitamins, including vitamin A, B vitamins niacin, riboflavin, B6, and B12. This natural cleanser has been used for years.
♦Glycerin is another advantage. All handmade soaps produce glycerin when they go thru the saponification process. In commercial soaps this glycerin is extracted for other products. But with handmade soaps the glycerin is left in. There are plenty of studies out there to read to find out more about the benefits of glycerin.
We take great pride in the fact that our soap is MADE FROM SCRATCH using some of the finest ingredients you can get. Making it from scratch takes time, but it’s well worth it! FELTED SOAP BARS
Felted soap is essentially a bar of soap encased in animal fibers, creating a self-sudsing loofah. Each bar is handmade, we start by using our very own goat milk soap bar made with milk from our dairy goats. Next we take the soft fleece from alpacas, angora rabbits and a smidge of sheep wool and wrap it around the soap using a natural process called "wet felting" to adhere it to the soap which makes a natural washcloth and soap all in one!
The fiber will gently exfoliate and leave your skin feeling refreshed! And extend the life of the soap bar! The combination of rich creamy lather from our goat milk soap and the exfoliation from the fibers will have you loving our product! As your soap shrinks, so does the fiber, and when the soap is gone, you have a felt piece left over that you can continue to use as a loofah with suds from one of our regular bars of soap, you can re-scent it with essential oils and use it as your own natural fabric softener or you can use to clean your kitchen sink!

These might be one of my favorite items! In Winter OR Summer . . . I love how soft they leave your skin! These bars melt from the heat of your skin, then you can rub the lotion in! They smell great, but are not overpowering! You will get many uses out of one bar, they last awhile!
If you want to limit plastic containers from going to the garbage dumps and ditch the chemical lotions in a bottle... then these bars are for you! They come packaged in re-useable tins! Perfect for travel or home!
All bars contain organic beeswax, coconut oil, cocoa butter & vitamin E oil.
(Please note our lotion bars contain essential oil OR fragrance oil.
The essential oil bars are all natural, the fragrance oil bars may have a small synthetic part to them.)
